Welcome to my Blog!!

This blog will talk about movies…movies… and movies… You’ve probably wondered if it’s a blog only about Hitchcock. It is not.. but I would like to dedicate it to the master of suspense Alfred Hitchock. His movies and books thought me a lot during my cinematography studies.
I will talk about him later on when I will be sharing with you my last documentary.

Everbody read that fascinating story of the Oval Portrait written by Edgard Allen Poe.
Today I wanted to share with you an adaptation of that story in a short movie I directed 2 years ago.

I would like to apologize if the video is not very clear but since I live in Lebanon it takes a loooottt of time to upload videos.

I woke up this morning to go to work and found on my way the billboard of Revue Magazine talking about Dr. Dahesh.” L’incroyable du Dr. Dahesh ” ( The incredible of the Dr Dahesh ). My last documentary talked about him and I wanted to share with you the synopsis and I will be posting later on the whole movie.
I will also be talking longly about the Dr Dahesh, this strange man of the 20th century.

Here is the synopsis of my short movie which mixed 2D animation, fiction, documentary and 3D.

The director, finds a box full of souvenirs in her attic, she opens it and falls on her childhood photos recalling her grandmother,  A card offered to her “teta” kept her attention as she recalls the stories told by her, during her childhood especially the story of the mysterious man she had never seen or known but feared off.
She then decides to go and search for this memory called Dr. Dahesh. Her investigation will introduce the neighbors, friends, and the followers of Dr. Dahesh. She will discover truths that will surprise her. Dr. Dahesh is a man out of the ordinary famous for its tours of prestidigitation and a religion he created called the Dahishism.
The end of the documentary will be the end of the quest, where the director decides to talk to her grandmother and share with her the discoveries she made about Dr. Dahesh or El Salim Moussa Achi
Unfortunately the name of Dr. Dahesh seems unknown to the grandmother. Did she forget or is she just pretending it?
This leads the director to conclude that sometimes the lies invented by the great always keep marks and may give us the chance to discover hidden things.

If you want to know more about Dr. Dahesh click on his name.poster of the movie: " Do you remember?"

So as I told you in my first article. I studied cinematography. I am a movie director, working in advertising. If you want to know more about me you can visit my page.

This picture  is the poster of my first documentary.

During my studies I’ve directed two documentaries that were part of several national and international film festivals:  in France, ( festival cine-rail ),Spain, Lebanon (Rolling film festival), and also on local TV channel: Future TV and MTV…etc.

You are probably asking yourself if there’s still train in Lebanon. Yes… we still have trains in Lebanon… but they don’t  work properly and especially that we don’t have rails anymore in the country.

So to tell you more about it I would like to read the synopsis of it. Read the rest of this entry »

Eat, Pray, Love

Image via Wikipedia

I went to the cinema this weekend. And I saw the movie Eat pray love.  I think I just went to see it because Javier Bardem was in it. But I was so disappointed because we only saw him in the last 20mins of the movie. I was looking at my watch during the film and the negative side of it is that we pratically know what is going to happen at the end of the movie since we know Javier Bardem is the main actor.
That doesn’t mean that the movie wasn’t good but I think it was more of a touristic book to some exotic countries everyone would like to go to : Bali, India, Italie… etc.

So if you would like to spend a romantic and funny evening with your boyfriend go see this movie !
